The Contemporary Sight-Reading Method is designed for the intermediate to advanced student and can be utilized as a solo study, or in a small ensemble setting. The etudes can be practiced in either swing or straight-eighth styles. There are seven progressive levels, each one containing twelve coordinated etudes - one in each key signature. Students first study coordinated rhythm series etudes before starting on the coordinated melodic etudes. There are 91 etudes in all. Music tracks, in a swing feel, are included for each individual etude - in both slow and fast(er) tempos. Books are available for C instruments, Bass Clef instruments, Bb instruments, Eb instruments, and Drums and Percussion. Read more
